CSS Cc Sponsorship Torney Predictions

So-Gaming.css have entered the cC Sponsorship cup, the first round of fixtures have been announced and mAson So-Gaming's new news writer has done a prediction article.

Fixtures and Predictions - Round #1

The Complete Control Sponsorship Cup will kick off tomorrow. These are the fixtures for the cup as well as my personal predictions. Lots of new teams in there as well as the veteran lineups. Im personally really looking forward to the cup and will be covering it in detail for care-face.co.uk

anyways here are the predictions and the fixtures:

#netCODE vs careFACE

Good Luck and have fun, I think we can take it tho :P

#te4m vs wuzup

wuzup should take this with their skilled mix of players and have alot more experience playing together, although te4m could cause an upset!

7 Sins of Mint vs Team-Agonizing

I should think that Mint will win with their recent reform of old mates.

cheekygirls (visioN) Team Profile vs Team Infectious

this could be a close game but I would expect cheekygirls (visioN Mix) to nick it although im not familiar with team infectious so i could be horribly wrong

abovereality vs Squeak.CSS

abovereality has a fairly decent lineup and have been training hard recently and it should show against squeak tomorrow.

adore-gaming vs So-Gaming

So-Gaming will be favourites in this match and im sure it will be clear to see why!

azoic.css vs Slagelse eSport

azoic would be my pick for this match although i havent got a clue who slagelse are :s

Comedy of Errors vs skillRock.css

although coe have been together alot longer, skillRock have actually been practicing well and should be able to beat coe with ease.

Deathless vs simpLicity-Gaming

Deathless should win in what looks like a fairly one-sided game.

enamor vs scgaming

I dont know either teams so I probably shouldn't comment.

eXult² vs RevolutionGames

Again, dont know the teams that well but I will be rooting for eXult

F!TZYS HOES vs Remember The Name?

I would expect nothing less that a win for the rtn? boys.

fiveflow. vs NAPPYHEADS

fiveflow will out shoot NAPPYHEADS and out play them.. sorry

HDesigners vs Pro HL

Pro HL have a fairly stable lineup so I can see their teamwork help them shut-down HDesigners

Jumpfrog vs del

again dont know either teams sorry

uKunit vs TBA

UKunit > the other team cimply cause a replacement wont be preped for it

Thats just my thoughts on the up and coming games anyway. I will do more indepth predictions and analysis in the coming rounds to make it a bit more interesting. Looks like a promising cup, with wuzup and rtn? looking like the front runners on paper at least. Good luck to all the teams involved looks like its set to be a good nights gaming! I'll update the scores as and when they come in as well.

Cheers,
mAson

Thanks to mAson and good luck to all the teams

So-Gaming ET CUP

#So-Gaming are announcing a 32 team 6on6 cup, signups close on the 3rd Febuary. The final will be supported with ETTV. ET-Cup rules apply with some changes, please see below.

Rules:

Etiquette
All players are required to act respectfully to one-another. If a player should break the rules (e.g. bug abuse etc.) he will be required to submit a demo to the admins. If a team should change the server-settings during a game, they will be removed from the tournament and their opponent awarded a default win. The Team captains of each team have to idle in channel #So-Gaming with their clan tag

Cheating
Any form of cheating and/or bug using is absolutely forbidden. If a player should be discovered, he and his clan will be removed from the competition with immediate effect. Any players with red yawns and currently CB banned hackers will not be allowed to participate. Depending on the CB ban allowances will be made.

If you have any suspicious scenes etc - request a demo, take pb-screens (if possible) and send the evidence to your nearest cheat buster or admin of the cup.

Teams
Your team must have at least 6 players. You have to be active and ready to play the matches at the given time. If a player can't play for any reason a merc is allowed (2 mercs per side)

Preparation
Your team captain has to idle in #So-Gaming. To find out what match you have to play at that moment you can look at the grid on our homepage. If u aren't sure on what server or what map you have to query an admin.

Maps
#Round 1 Supply Monday 4th -Thursday 7th result in before 12:00 CET
#Round 2 Braundorf_b4 Friday 8th -Monday 11th result in before 12:00 CET
#Round 3 Radar Tuesday 12th - Friday 15th result in before 12:00 CET
#Round 4 SW_Goldrush Saturday 16th-Tuesday 19th result in before 12:00 CET
#Final round TBA

If you don't play the map in the alloted timeslot admins will force a match date.

Final map pool (Chosen by each team):
Supply
Braundorf
Radar
Grush
Frost
Adler
Ice
Oasis

CB rules apply for 3rd map rotation, cointoss will be made and elimination will be put into effect for each map until 1 final map remains.

Server
The servers for the matches belong to the clans. #So-Gaming does not give servers for any match.

Spectators
Each team can have any amount of spectators per match as long as the admins doesn’t need this slot to spectate. If one team has more spectators than the other and the lower team would like more, the team with more spectators will choose 1 to quit until equal amounts of spectators are on for both sides.

Config
We will be using the latest version of the clanbase 6on6 config.

Game servers
Games are played on a server both teams agree on.

AFK opponent
If your opponent shouldn't appear in the given time, qry an admin and you will be granted a default win unless they decide otherwise.

Demos
Everyplayer must record a demo for every map. No demo = No win.

To Participate you must do the following:

Match Report:

After what we felt was not a very satisfactory result in our first round game against Hostile/Game Zero having not done any practice; we decided to really put the required time in we knew we needed to get recognised.

All week we arranged our lineup to make the most of our time and really fine tuning our Terrorist side as well as working on comms. This then paid dividends during the NA game;

After losing the knife round we had to settle for Terrorist. We took the pistol round and then 7 consecutive rounds before NA took one. After a few 2 v 4 clutch situations, the final Terrorist side was a re-assuring 11-4 to So-Gaming.

Counter-Terrorist was a page from the same book, however we lost the first pistol round miserabley, but not letting that dampen our momentum we pulled back the second round with a quick eco. The comms was spot on with everyone at the top of their game, and the final CT score 13-2 to So-Gaming.

The result shows that when we actually put the time in we can really play at a better level. I hope this is a thing that will continue, and Id like to thank the team for putting the effort in.

Packard Bell Writeups

After So-Gaming got knocked out of the elimination bracket by the hungarian sensations that are OBi, there has been a few brief writeups from ninjaii on the fixtures.

So. Vs Who?
The name of So-Gaming may be familiar with some of the older members of the CSS/EnemyDown community, the team was originally founded years ago, and have recently reformed with a fresh new line-up. During the group stages who? had more success, they didn’t suffer a single loss on their path to the eliminations whereas So lost two, however on the night the victory was So’s.

OBi vs. So.
So-Gaming lost only one game on their route to round two of the eliminations, that one game going to eSuba, one of the heavily favoured teams to reach the finals. This form was unfortunately not enough to take them any further as the Hungarian OBi stopped them in their tracks. The game was much closer than many would have predicted so credit should be given to the UK players for their performance in Monday nights fixture.
Final scores:
OBi 16 - 9 So. on de_cpl_mill
OBi 16 - 11 So. on de_nuke

So-Gaming CSS Squad Update

I thought it was time to give everyone an update on how the So-Gaming CSS squad are doing.
After CGS (Championship Gaming Series) where we won $2000 we decided on a roster change as we felt the team was not gelling together as well as we all liked.
We recruited "MasiC" and "Shad" in replacement for "Jammy Dodger" who is now with mySKI i believe.

We then practised hard and tried our best to improve the team work. We entered into the Enemydown Packard Bell cup where the winners got a Packard Bell Gaming PC each (i really could of done with that!). We got some good results and played some good teams which is what we where mainly hoping for.

Here is the results of So-Gaming in the ED Packard Bell Tournament:

Round1 - So. 20 - 10 Uknown team (now folded)

Round2 - So. Default Win

Round3 - So. 21 - 9 gK.ip^

Round3 - So. 21 - 9 |WFM|

Round4 - So. 26 - 4 |3MC|

Round5 - So. 4 - 16 eSuba

Knockout Stages:

So. 32 - 9 who?

So. 20 -32 OBi

We are very pleased with the results. We got many more rounds against OBi then we thought. The team is still going to keep on practising and will be improving greatly as there will be no more roster changes.

The team is playing in the Enemydown CSS League 9 every Tuesday at 21:00GMT (9:00pm), we won the first game in the EDCCSL against Hostile 16-14. I'll be posting sourcetv ip's for upcoming games on the homepage so keep a look out!

If you have not already please take the time to sign up (it takes seconds) and join us on the So-Gaming forums!

Thanks
